BatBat

Bat

Bats have been around for about 50 million years and account for 20 percent of all mammal species. They are important pollinators in tropical and desert ecosystems.

Bats generally are insectivores, but many also eat pollen and nectar. More than 300 species of fruit trees depend on bats for pollination.

Flowers that attract bats are typically large in size, pale or white and posses a fruit-like odor with abundant nectar and pollen. Yucca flowers are a good example of a bat-friendly flower.
